FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is your Anna Maria Island yoga studio located?

Salty Buddha @ Island Yoga is located on the north end of Anna Maria Island, upstairs inside Body & Sol Spa, above Ginny & Jane E's Café. Our peaceful studio space offers a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors looking to practice yoga on Anna Maria Island.

Do I need to reserve a class in advance?

We recommend reserving your spot online whenever possible, especially during season and for specialty events. However, drop-in students are always welcome if space is available.

Do you provide yoga mats?

Yes! We offer complimentary yoga mats and props for all studio classes. If you have a favorite mat, you're welcome to bring your own.

What should I bring to beach yoga?

For beach yoga, we recommend bringing a large beach towel rather than a yoga mat. Mats can become slippery and collect sand, while a towel provides a more comfortable experience on the beach. Don't forget water, sunscreen, and sunglasses if desired.

Are your classes beginner-friendly?

Our teachers offer modifications and encourage students to practice in a way that feels supportive for their body.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before class begins, especially if it's your first visit to our Anna Maria Island yoga studio. This gives you time to check in, get settled, and meet your teacher before class starts.

Can I attend classes while I'm visiting Anna Maria Island?

Of course. Many of our students are visitors enjoying a vacation on Anna Maria Island. Whether you're here for a weekend, a week, or the season, we'd love to have you join us. Our classes are designed to be welcoming, accessible, and easy to drop into during your stay.

Do you offer private yoga sessions?

Yes. We offer private yoga experiences for individuals, couples, families, bachelorette parties, retreats, corporate groups, and special events. Private sessions can be held in our studio, on the beach, at your vacation rental, or at another approved location.

Do you offer Yoga Teacher Training on Anna Maria Island?

Yes! Salty Buddha offers Yoga Teacher Training on Anna Maria Island for students looking to deepen their practice or become certified yoga instructors. Our programs blend yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, personal growth, and community connection in a supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you plan to teach or simply want to immerse yourself in the practice, our trainings are designed to help you grow both on and off the mat.

What is SUP Yoga?

Imagine your favorite yoga class... but floating on the water.

Our SUP Yoga classes take place in a calm, mangrove-lined waterway on the north end of Anna Maria Island that opens into Tampa Bay—a peaceful little slice of paradise we lovingly call the Yoga Cove.

Don't worry if you've never stepped foot on a paddleboard before. No previous paddleboarding or yoga experience is necessary. We provide the boards and all equipment, and begin each class with a simple on-land lesson so everyone feels comfortable before heading out on the water.

Once we arrive in the cove, the boards are anchored for practice, creating a surprisingly stable space to move, breathe, stretch, and play. Our instructors are specially trained in paddleboard yoga and offer plenty of modifications along the way, making the experience accessible for beginners while still fun for seasoned yogis.

The best part? It's not about perfect poses. It's about laughter, sunshine, salty air, and experiencing yoga in a completely different way. You might spot dolphins, watch a pelican glide overhead, or simply enjoy the gentle rhythm of the water beneath you.

Whether you're visiting Anna Maria Island or you're a local looking for a fresh perspective, SUP Yoga is one of our favorite ways to connect with nature, move mindfully, and soak up a little island magic.
