Questions, Answered.
Everything we get asked before someone joins the training — logistics, money, certification, and whether this is even for you.
Is This Training For ME?
-
A deep interest in yoga and some experience with asana is recommended, but you don't need to be an advanced practitioner. What matters most is a genuine desire to learn and grow. If you're not sure where you stand, reach out before enrolling and we'll talk it through honestly.
-
That's more common than you'd think. A meaningful number of each cohort comes through for the depth of study, not the certificate. The training, mentorship, and community are the same either way.
-
If you're asking the question, you're probably closer than you think. Most people don't feel fully ready — they feel curious, a little nervous, and pulled toward it anyway. That's the actual prerequisite.
Weekends & Format
-
Life happens, and one missed weekend won't derail your certification. You have a few options:
If it's one of the 3 modules marked "In Person or Zoom": you can simply join that weekend live over Zoom instead.
If it's one of the 5 modules marked "In Person" only: we can arrange a private make-up class (for an additional fee), paired with homework and Zoom recordings to fulfill that module's material.
Or, wait for it: since this training runs yearly, you're always welcome to sit in on that exact module with the following year's cohort instead.
-
For modules marked "In Person or Zoom," you'll join the live weekend remotely — same schedule, same teaching, same access to ask questions in real time. You'll miss the in-room energy, so we recommend attending in person whenever you can.
-
At Salty Buddha's studios in Bradenton and on Anna Maria Island. Exact studio location for each module will be confirmed ahead of your training start date.
-
We cap each cohort at 12 students — intentionally small, so mentorship stays personal
Enrollment & Payment
-
Once your application is accepted, your $500 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. No refunds are issued once training has started. That said, if you're unable to complete the training you originally registered for, depending on your circumstances you may be able to move into the following year's cohort instead.
-
Full tuition is $3,300. You can pay in full, split it into 6 monthly payments of $550, or set up a custom plan by emailing SaltyBuddhaCo@gmail.com. Paying via Venmo or Zelle avoids credit card processing fees.
-
No refund is issued once training has started. But we'd rather talk with you first than have you disappear — depending on your circumstances, moving into the following year's cohort to complete the training you started is often possible.

Certification & After
-
Yes. Salty Buddha is a Yoga Alliance Certified School, and you'll graduate eligible for Yoga Alliance RYT-200 registration — recognized by studios nationwide, not just locally.
-
Reiki is a hands-on energy practice that deepens your sense of presence and how you hold space for others — skills that carry directly into teaching. It's woven into Module 7 as a full day of training and certification, included in your tuition at no extra cost.
-
You'll graduate into an ongoing community, not just a certificate — including continued mentorship and priority access to teaching opportunities at Salty Buddha as they open up.
